mediadefine trains apprentices

(Essen, 23.10.2007) Give young people a professional perspective: The enterprise expands and that's why mediadefine trains young people. Daniela Klaus is trained to be a businesswoman enganged in office communication since August 1st.

Rüdiger van Hal, managing director of mediadefine GmbH, explains:"The apprentice already showed her capability in an internship for several months. And we are glad to be able to offer her an apprenticeship training position." Daniela Klaus is trained to be a businesswoman enganged in office communication. Furthermore, mediadefine trains Heidi Hecht in some parts of her apprenticeship in the scope of a combination apprenticeship with the jourtanlis office Stroisch. The main content of her apprenticeship in Essen is accountancy.

Combination in close cooperation

Jörg Stroisch, owner of the journalist office Stroisch, www.stroisch.com, has been an acquaintance for mediadefine GmbH for a long time. The founders know him since they worked together with him in the Jugendpresse Nordrhein-Westfalen on media projects. Stroisch decribes:" There is a great mutual trust between us. I know that my apprentice is in good hands." The combination apprenticeship has strongly been supported by the initiative "100 fürs Rheinland", Cologne. Heidi Hecht works as editorial assistant in the journalist office. She writes own articles and maintains the different websiteprojects of the website.

At mediadefine the apprentices do not only gain accounting abilities. The Essen apprentice Daniela Klaus additionally learns about office organisation. During her  apprenticeship she will trained to manage projects on her own and how to deal with customers. She also maintains the websites of the enterprise, writes own articles and chooses photos. Take social responsibility

Van Hal comments:"Others talk a lot about the apprenticeship consensus, but we exercise it. But for us, it is naturally to take the social and entrepreneurial responsibility" Offering an apprentice training position is a big responsibility: It enables the young people to start a career, but simultaneously, they need a good and constant mentoring because of their age and the lack of professional experience. Stroisch adds:"It hurts to see how many school leavers do not even get the chance to do this first step into career."

Internships as means to get a foretaste

Both enterprises regularly offer internships in the areas economy, journalism, design and IT. "Until now we almost always saw good potentials in every youth that worked with us", van Hal states. To stress the quality claim, journalist office Stroisch joined the fair company initiative of the magazine Karriere.
